What was the challenge or goal?
KMCC Ireland required a complete redesign of their website to reflect their growing presence and provide a seamless user experience. The primary goal was to modernize their web presence while ensuring that the site was mobile-responsive, easy to navigate, and effectively represented their mission and services.
Why was this project necessary?
- The original website was outdated, lacking mobile responsiveness and modern design elements.
- There was a need for a more intuitive layout and structure to improve navigation and enhance user experience.
- The client wanted to engage a wider audience, particularly younger, mobile-first users.
- SEO optimization was crucial to improve visibility and drive more traffic to the site, especially for local searches.

What exactly did I do?
- Created the Website Structure: Developed a sitemap to define the structure and flow of pages including Home, About Us, Services, and Contact pages.
- Custom Theme Selection & Customization: Chose a responsive theme and customized it using Elementor to align with the KMCC Ireland branding.
- SEO Setup: Configured the Yoast SEO plugin to ensure best practices were followed, including on-page SEO optimization for better search engine rankings.
- Mobile Optimization: Ensured the website was fully optimized for mobile devices, providing a smooth experience across all screen sizes.
- Content Strategy: Collaborated with the KMCC team to organize and present content clearly, ensuring ease of access to key information for visitors.
- User Interaction Features: Integrated interactive features such as forms, donation options, and event registration to improve user engagement.
- Security: Set up security measures such as SSL certificates, basic security protocols, and regular backups.

Research/Discovery
- Stakeholder Interviews: Met with KMCC Ireland’s leadership to understand their vision for the website and their target audience.
- Competitor Analysis: Analyzed other cultural and community organizations’ websites to identify opportunities for differentiation and areas of improvement.
- Audience Research: Identified key user demographics, including community members, volunteers, and individuals seeking local services.
Strategy/Planning
- Sitemap and Wireframes: Developed a sitemap that organized the website’s structure logically. Created wireframes for each major page to ensure content would be well-organized and accessible.

Design/Execution
- Theme Customization: Installed and customized a responsive WordPress theme to match the client’s branding and functional requirements.
- Layout Design: Designed each page layout using Elementor and CSS to ensure the site had a modern, clean, and user-friendly interface.

Testing/Feedback
